W22. A ferry on the Bosphorus.
Istanbul, a clear day and a ferry under the bridge.

Istanbul. ๐น๐ท

Some views don't need a long caption. This is one of them.
W17. Seoul.
A sunset over the Han River and a very tall wall of books.

A few days in Seoul. On Saturday the sun went down over the Han River, and the whole skyline turned orange.

On Sunday, Starfield Library at COEX: bookshelves so tall that people ride escalators next to them. ๐

- Note to self: last year I only read 4 books. This place is a good reminder.
W16. Working by the rice fields.
Vietnam was on my list for 2026. This weekโs office is in Hoi An.

At the end of last year I wrote a small list of places for 2026. Vietnam was on it, for the everyday life and, of course, lots of coffee. โ So here I am: Hoi An.

Umbrellas, a laptop, and green rice fields in front of me. Not a bad view for writing code.
W13. Sakura week.
The cherry blossoms came, and Kyoto was ready.

The cherry blossoms came this week. ๐ธ

On Sunday: the bamboo path in Arashiyama, a lot of moss, and cherry trees lit from below at night.

Sometimes the best plan is to stop and look for a while. (I wrote about this before: Slow Living: Not in a Hurry Today)
W12. Osaka nights, Nara deer.
Neon in Dotonbori, lanterns in the alleys, and the real locals of Nara.

Osaka at night is loud and bright. Dotonbori is exactly like the photos, maybe even more.

And then Nara, where the deer are the real locals. ๐ฆ

W11. Neon and bare trees.
Winter isnโt over yet: a quiet garden by day, neon alleys by night.

Winter isn't over yet. In Shinjuku Gyoen the trees are still bare, and the garden is very quiet for the middle of Tokyo.

One street ends with a snow-capped mountain, and people just cross it like it's normal. ๐ป

At night, the opposite: a narrow alley full of neon signs.

W10. Backstreets and lanterns.
Small streets, a tempura banner, and Yokohama Chinatown at dusk.

The first week of March, mostly on foot. The small streets are my favourite part: a tempura banner, a stop sign painted on the road, power lines everywhere.

On the weekend, Yokohama Chinatown. Lanterns, crowds, and fruit stalls glowing at dusk. ๐ฎ

W09. Fewer apps, same Mac.
Chrome is gone, Safari stayed, and my battery is happier.

This week I finally wrote down what changed on my Mac. Chrome is gone, Safari stayed (my battery says thank you ๐), and passwords and 2FA codes now live in one place.
The full list: My Mac Apps in 2026.
- Still asking: do I really need this app?
